How to make friends at University?

So I am 20 and I will be going to university in the fall and I would like to know what are some good ways to make friends over there in that environment? For the first year I was at a community college and there was barely any social interaction at that college over there. While I do have friends at that community college I have only seem to see them every other time of the day. I am hoping that at university I will be a lot better at socializing and making friends that could help me out there. How can I make friends in a university setting?

The best way to make friends is to join a club with people who share your interests. It seems as if you like science fiction. Join a club which deals with that, or any of your other interests.
