One of the things that frustrates me is that I have so much trouble making friends with my coworkers. When they're in conversation, I hardly know what to say to them. Plus, they all joke around with each other and I don't know how to do that with them. The, when I do have conversations with them, I'll say things that they don;'t usually understand. Plus, they don't talk to me hardly and I always have to make an effor with them. Why is it so hard for me to start a conversation with them? Any ways I could show my sense of humor and anything else I may be able to talk about such as when we work, how's work been, etc?

I had the same problem at the coffee shop where I used to work. I was there for 6 years and never made a good friend there. Most of them were snotty and cliquey and just, well, NT. Talking about superficial nonsense. One of them was the assistant manager's daughter who was very snotty and her circle of suck-up friends were just as bad.. One or two co-workers I got along well with when on duty but didn't make friends with them for hanging out after work or anything... the ones I got along well with were guys.. the girls were either way younger than me or the women were older than me and didn't chat with me at all... Sometimes I'd manage to crack a good joke to make them laugh, but then they'd all go right back to ignoring me..

Wish I could help, but I've had no luck with that sort of thing, either, ever - and I'm approaching 30 soon!
