I can remember there was a time(and this went on for many years)where I couldn't just ANY of my "friends". Thank the stars,I got rid of most of them.

I now have a few close-friends and a few more friend-potential-acquantices that I can trust now.

It's horrible having to live your life in fear...

I don't trust any of my friends or family. The only people I trust completely are my boyfriend and my best friend, whom I've never actually met face to face (penpal). I seem to have "use me" written on my forehead and I fall for it every time.

All of my true friends are people who I know through the internet. I don't consider them "online friends"..I don't use the term "In RL" because aren't people you know through the internet just as real as people you know face to face? People who live near me are rather rude and obnoxious, so I basically just avoid them. They find humor in harassing me, so I haven't any reason to waste my time bothering. I have a few really good friends who all live in various places around the world. It is especially great because there is usually always one of them online at almost any time.

I have a good friend who lives near me, but we are drifting apart. She is falling into the cliques, which I stay away from. She's just become another one of those people who thinks they are individual but are really just one of millions of people posing as something their not. She's moving in a month, so I guess it is best to not stay too attached.

My family..That is another story. I trust my mother to an extent, but I haven't any trust for my father. There's a whole different story that goes with that. My mother is someone who I can tell things, but she often doesn't understand. I only have a couple people who really understand what I say, and that is all I need.

Trust is highly overrated these days.

This is a very timely post.

For the last two years I thought I had a very good friend.

Until this week; when I found out that this person had just been playing a nasty game with me all along, and revealed the true depth of their contempt for me.

This person called me an "idiot baboon."

That's how it ended.

I'm sick and tired of games with people; no more.

I trust all my friends.
If I didn't they wouldn't be "friends".

Not really.

I know who to trust, and who not to usually.

I saw my best friend stealing money for me, and she never admitted it when I confronted her. Just an out and out liar. Then she had the nerve to spend the ripped 5 dollar note (my one was ripped in the same place) in front of me at the school canteen.

I've never left anything of value alone with her since.

I hate to say it, but I don't really trust anyone all that much, past maybe my parents and possibly one, possibly two friends. Well, a few of my parents' friends I could say I trust, but I think it is a pretty short list.

I don't really let too many people get that close to me enough that I wou.ld need to put any trust into them. I don't really have any secrets, so trust isn't really an issue in that regard.

The person I am closest to is my boyfriend and he is also my best friend/person I cohabitate with..and even though we've had rocky issues in the past, I don't have any reasons not to trust him/

Someone once called me a one-person pet..like an animal who only gets along with one person in the household..I am really only close to one person, but I am capable of being friendly..and even somewhat outgoing on a sorta superficial/nonjudgemental level with lots of different people...(within the scope of my saftey zone, that is)..ahem..

Why trust? People do not understand much. People are idiots. People in general should not be trusted. This may not say much about the individual as it must be recognized that mankind is not homogeneous, however, let us simply recognize this: how can you discern who is completely trustworthy? Such a process is very difficult and the failure with such a process can be quite disastrous. So, it comes down to this: why trust? We might long for human companionship and closeness but are the gains worth the possible losses most of the time? I argue no.

I don't have any friends any more. At least not that I've met.

True. I stopped being 'friends' with a person that was a liar and has lied for some time. Though, this a**hole has a history of losing friends so it was only bound to happen. He is too self-absorbed and only does things so he can become better at it then you. He lies, he manipulates (everyone says he is nice but they fail to realize that this is how he gets what he wants), he BLAMES, he is unemployed and basically an all out 'loser.'

This kind of made a line between my group of friends. Some people see him for what he really is (those who do are more closer to my personality) and the rest of them are blind and continue to support him and his mooching ass. Those who support him I've also lost trust in as they tend to support him when he has nothing to go by.

So, in all, my 2 friends who are similar I trust, my ADD friend I trust (because he never volunteers information), the rest I've lost faith in.

Then, outside of that main group, I trust everyone. (which is really only 3 more people)

lets see....i trust my father in that he would have good intentions but is otherwise untrustable (even if he doesnt mean to be), i trust my sister, i trust two very old friends, though one of them i cant share much with, and the other...i unfortunately dont trust to the level i used to anymore, since you just never know with him...
iv never trusted any of the other friends i have had in the sense that i allways fear them turning on me and potentially blackening me behind my back. there is one girl im desperetaly trying to trust though...but she seems to deliberately keep me out, and i dont know much about her.....and allways fear she pities me rather then like me..
these are also all the people in my life right now, and i see none of them as often as once a month. i need to get out more:/
