Hi:
I was just wondering what these cues mean.

Where you get invited to a party by someone who calls you a friend. When it comes to the actual event this "Friend" has no problem with mingling with everyone else and having a good conversation. When it comes to your friend refuses to talk to you.

Actions
1. Every time you try to talk to them you they answer you but very quickly move away.
2. They don't include you in their conversations with other people by shutting you out and making it so you can't talk
3. They don't bother introducing you to anyone.

Is there a reason why your friend behaves like that?

In my book that is close to excluding or ignoring. Why did he invite you?

I remember something similar. I was talking with a Croatian woman, who spoke English to me.

She then invited me to her friends. I walked with her, because maybe I can talk with them as well, not only with her. When she and I arrived there, she talked Croatian with them so I am excluded out. I suddenly stood up and walked away.

This most likely means that he isn't actually your friend, but only invited you (and answers your questions/comments, albeit shortly) out of curtesy

This sounds like bullying to me.
Socially excluded, he is abrupt/rude towards you and he clearly does not want you around.
I would have nothing to do with this person and I would ignore them.

I wish I could say I haven't experienced this often in my life.

This person does not sound like a real friend.

Because they aren't your friend. Why do you accept their invitations?

My thing is that I am

1. Too forgiving and I usually end up giving someone like that a second chance.
2. I often take one's words seriously over one's actions

When I see the actions I get very frustrated or let down.
