Can you explain why this happened?

A little over a year ago I remember this girl at my local bar approached me and talked to me. She did seem a bit sorry for me but she was really sweet and nice towards me. I remember the girl at the time was in a relationship with a guy I knew from school and the last time I spoke to her was in a nightclub in May 2015 and she was very friendly to me then.

She doesn't really go to the bar that often but I have seen her there recently a few times and when I saw her she would just walk past me like I was invisible (yes she might just be lost in her own thoughts). I did open a door for the girl and her friend last Friday night and she just looked at me (not smiling) and said "thank you" and continued on with her friend.

So why do think she might have now become not so friendly towards me

Were you very close? Maybe she didn't recognize you or something.

She was likely just "killing time" with you until her boyfriend showed up; and yes, it is easy to forget a person in a year's time.

I sometimes forget people the next day after I meet them.

It's likely she didn't recognize you.
