I'm a pretty negative guy. I can't help it. When something bad happens to me, I always want to complain about it. Most people don't want to listen to those complaints, and I don't blame them honestly. I wouldn't want to hear a constant stream of somebody else's problems either. So what I do is I try to turn my complaints into jokes. Like, I take customer service calls for a living, so after I hang up on a bad call I'll turn to the person in the cubicle next to me and be like, "You'll never guess what this guy just said!" So instead of it being me whining to them, I'm telling them a funny story about an idiot I just had the "pleasure" of speaking to. I find this works out pretty well, but some people are still like, "Quit complaining, Adam! Geez!" Oddly enough, it's usually my family who reacts that way.
Anyway, do you think this is a healthy way to express my complaints without actually bothering people with them? Or would it be better to keep them to myself and just try to be more positive overall?
