My dad has this tendency to explain things even when I'm not interested in his insights. Moreover, sometimes he's flat-out WRONG about the things he's describing. How do I politely tell him to stop?
"Dad don't worry I understand" or something like that. It might still seem a bit rude but maybe sometimes that's how it is when you are firm and letting other people know things. It's normal for kids to challenge parents it should not shock him too much.
