I'm not really sure when everyone decided to make things like hobbies and interests such a key part of their personality. I will just say that having things like hobbies is something I have always rejected- let me explain. I do not like labels and I have never enjoyed boxing myself in. Instead of having hobbies or eternal interests I intellectually go in any direction that curiosity takes me.

I don't worry about boundaries or labels or anything like that. For example, it would be impossible for me to tell you what religion or philosophical belief I have. Since they flow and change constantly. I have never had consistent political or ideological beliefs.

Even things like being a fan of something is not something I enjoy boxing myself into. I watch sports some, but I do not consistently root for any team. Even the sports I follow and am interested in seems to change and flow with time.

Take hobbies, when I was younger, I read a ton and watched a lot of movies. Now that I am pushing forty I almost never read and never watch movies. I had fun with them when I was younger but intellectually, I felt the calling to move on from them.

I don't really have characters I like. I am a fan of nothing really. The only activity I have consistently enjoyed throughout my life is the ability to think freely as much as possible. But it is hard to sell open mindedness as a hobby or an interest.

I know being autistic means that in many ways I will never quite fit in. I guess I just wanted to point out how labels, hobbies and interests do not really work with the way my mind works.
