...otherwise I am going to go mad or get very depressed. I already feel kind of depressed.

I HAVE TO do something other than sit at home all day on my own.

I need someone do do something with.

It would also help if I had money.

There's nothing good to do in Birmingham.

I want some kind of social club. I found one called the Round Table but nooooo it just had to be for men only, didn't it. Grrr :x The women's groups are just for campaigning for random women's rights and things. The men's group does fun things and raises money for charity.

ARGH

I'm not familiar with the UK, but there's a website for the US called:

www.meetup.com

I'm not sure maybe they have international meetups, you should check the site.

Meetup didn't have anything, but thanks.

I don't like clubs because they're too loud and people get drunk, but thanks.

Look out for free newspapers (you find them in bus-stations and coffee shops) which give lists of events on and things to do.

Go to the library! It probably even has information about community groups, and people who frequent libraries are more likely to be 'aspie-friendly'.

What are your interests?

Also, it's December now, some local education centres will start to run new courses in January, have you thought of maybe signing up for a short course, maybe a French class, or Urdu, or car maintenance, or local history, dress-making, or photography or something like that?

Or maybe join an amateur dramatics group or something? It's not just for people who want to act, they need people to help with making props and costumes, publicity and ticket sales and so on.

Yeh I feel You. I have it the same. Just that I live in small village in the middle of nowhere (with Norwich 20 miles away...). It sucks!

At least in the middle of nowhere you have lots of countryside to walk in, photogaph etc. I wouldn't mind that so much, but I know what you mean.

I completely relate. Mostly this cos I can't drive and there's no public transportation around this crappy place.... :(

If I had the money, I'd move out of skid row.

I feel the same. I am not only sitting at home, I like hiking, cycling, taking photos ... but everything alone. I know that loneliness isn't good for me but I don't know how to be with another people. I am not with them, I am beside them. In the better case I am with them for the first two hours, then I switch off.

Those womens rights clubs doesn't make any sense, they think there helping people while its more of a support group that hates men (don't mean to offend, if i do sorry for that)
