Well lately I have been talking about my relationship issues. It frustrates me because they dont understand how difficult it is for me. No idea what its like to have been alone your entire life. So a friend of mine was saying she and her boyfriend had a fight. Basically I just blew up on her, I've just gotten so sick of people whining about problems like "oh all these people keep hitting on me" or "a [significant other] is being jealous". I know they cant help it, I know they cant relate to me any better then i can to them. But I just couldn't take it anymore, people complaining about a kink in their relationship when I cant even get a date. What the fug makes them think I'm the one to talk to?

You know whats the really sad part? I'm not sorry I did it. I am actually so jaded and closed off I'm not bothered that I upset a person like that. That I've taken all their complaining when they have problems, but they dismiss mine with something as cliche as "there is someone out there for you". Oh what a great pick me up, dont worry maybe in another decade you will find someone that doesn't find you repulsive.

See what bothers me is I lost it. I'm normally in great control of myself. But I took it out on someone, I never do that. I would rather, and often do, isolate myself rather then risk making someone else feel bad. /rant

When you are feeling calmer, apologise to your friend, and explain to her what you have just told us here.

Yes, it's frustrating to watch from the sidelines as your friends go through all the joys and pains of their own relationships. And to be sympathetic when they come to you with their woes.

When you do eventually form a relationship with someone, you will need every bit of self-restraint and tolerance you can muster. Quirks of behaviour that you found charming at first can quickly become irritating. You'll find that you need to self-censor more often, rather than always saying exactly what you're thinking.

Best-case scenario, you meet someone who has no illusions about you, and is prepared to accept you exactly the way you are. May it happen for you, sooner rather than later!

A few weeks ago, I had a tiff with an aspie friend on MSN and haven't been in contact since. He said I shouldn't "label" people but I said I need to use descriptions in order to understand people and things. I told him not to lecture me (he's had that tendency before). I've been kind to him when he's been in trouble but feel it was thrown back in my face and now although I'm sad about the friendship perhaps going, I also think it might be for the better.
