There are a lot more failed attempts than successful attempts at suicide each year. Have you considered what could happen if you cause irreparable injury to yourself in the attempt, yet survive.

Don't make matters worse.

Get to a shelter/Salvation army etc..
Tell them that you want to work etc... whatever - and ask for assistance.
Make a resolution to change your life... do something different because what you're doing now is obviously depressing you.

You can always go to a hospital emergency room and say "I need some help". Even if you don't have money, they have to take you in.

Also, go to http://www.samaritans.org/ for help. And you can always email jo@samaritans.org, and he/she will write you back. I've done it before and it really helped.

In most places, you can dial 211, and talk to a person about what is bothering you. If they make you feel better, keep talking. If not, hang up and dial again, and you'll get someone else. There is bound to be someone who is a good listener.

We need you on this earth! Stay with us!

Actually no, I am not going to try and talk you out of it. I am not going to help you end your life, nor persuade you to live. All I can ask you to do is reconsider this decision.

Sometimes, life may be unbareable and you may want to just give everything up. Sure, the pain will be gone...but so will your talents and maybe even the tiny percentage of happiness that you have left.

Go and talk to someone. [a professional].

I hope you feel better soon.

Well, you can get a 5th of 151 and go find a frozen mountain top right before a storm hits.

But really, I often times felt life was such a drag because NOTHING ever seemed to go right in my life,
even right now my life Is majorly up side down, but the strange thing is, its like good karma that
has been held back most of my life is starting to spill over into my life when I need it the most,
there is a season and a time for everything my friend, you just have to wait and hold on
and keep doing what is right and moral and good, and most of all, good things eventually
comes to those who do not just sit there, you have to want and work to make them happen,
you got to try and help your self when all else seems to have failed you.

Wow, kind and wise words...

This sounds like it's getting out of control (I am going through a drama myself, a big one, I am afraid that my ex will die soon...the father of my child...). I am really sad how many times I said on this forum to people to check in the hospital if they are suicidal, homicidal etc...read my posts. Sometimes you need encouragement to go and get admitted, so I admire you that you are looking for encouragement here. I think that you could really use help and care right now. I think that it is deeper than material problems, that are enough by themselves to make someone sick...

Why would you call 211, isn't that the United Way number? Call 911, who cares about the charges etc.? You just have to be alive, do you think your parents would want you dead? I don't think so... In their honor and memory, be alive and well.

Call 911 and just let them take care of you. You will be taken care of at the hospital and be fed and sleep (rest) and you will get therapy, afterwards. Please don't delay this anymore, you are not the first to feel suicidal, don't be embarassed and don't think about anything else, but how to stay alive.

Call 911 and go!! !

Sorry for the confusion.

Call 911 in an emergency. You can also call 211--it's a crisis line, but not necessarily an emergency.

BOTH numbers are FREE.

We are rooting for you.
