An all embracing topic

Ask her. My NT children usually ask me, expecially my son. I sometimes forget to do this, so I must be reminded.

My mother was NT, but she avoided me like the plague. I was simply not lovable enough. After a while, the rest of my immediate and extended family came to this erroneous conclusion and avoided me entirely, not just omitting hugs. People can be cruel, deliberately or not.

It did take me a while to get over it.

I just wanted to say that I love the kitty hugs pictured by 886. I love to hug my pets, too. :D
furry pets love you no matter what.

If Muhamed cannot go to the mauntain, the mountain must come to Muhamed! (Is that a real saying outside of Denmark?)

If your mother wont hug you then you go hug her.

Hug the living daylight out of her! She might just hug back

E-hug from me :D

Better than my mom. I tried ti hug her once when I was around 5 - she shoved me away, nastily asked what I wanted and said I wouldn't be hugging her if I didn't want something.

The only thing I wanted was her love.

Maybe your mom was implying that the reason no one hugs you is that you dont hug asnyone else or hug them back

Mine did not push me away. She just pretended I did not exist. I don't know which is worse, negative attention like you got, or no attention at all.

That's a horrible attitude for a parent to have towards any 5 year old, let alone their own.
