but if it wasn't for Radiohead she wouldn't have that song to cover.

I like The Pretenders but that is a bit too genericaly her style (like her/there most average songs) and doesn't have the angst the song needs.

personally I prefer the radiohead version, it has more angnt and intensity yet still dragging. But i see it is contencious.

Covers can me better. I think chet bakers version of Love for Sale was nothign short of genius

This short clip doesn't really show it:

http://www.chetbakertribute.com/wmv/RS6-WM-Hi.wmv

that is becuase that bass guy completely messed it up. Turned it too funky (you can't see it in the short clip but he totally goes on his own ego trip and missed the cue fromt the piano to shut up) the best one was it was much more solumn and 'cool'. The best clip is not on on youtube anymore with a belegian bassist Jean Louis Rassinfosse.

She sounds great but I like the original better. I love the pretenders song back on the chain gang.
LOL at Homer Bowie!

but she didn't write Creep (the song in the origanal video and the reason Radiohead were mentioned in the first place - unless Creep was a Pretenders cover all this time and nobody realised)
