PLYN Health Care Toolkit (Time Management)
Hello everyone. I'm Bond Collard, one of the board members of the
Pennsylvania Youth Leadership Network (PYLN),. PYLN is currently
working on a health care toolkit that youths can use as a guide to
advocate for themselves.
For the toolkit I will be writing sections about family involvement
and time management.
Examples of ideas for Family Involvement:
-Explain the difference between support and control in family involvement.
-Everyone in the family should be accepting of the child's disability and be supportive in any way possible.
-Ask your sibling to allow you to hang out with him/her and his/her friends so they can become your friends as well.
Examples of ideas for Time Management:
-Keep time using a watch or a cell phone
-Make schedules and/or checklists
-Make routines for normal days
If you have any suggestions on what else you think would be important to include in
these topics, please post them back to me. All suggestions are welcome!
Thanks for your help.
