medication woes: has anyone tried cymbalta

I'm' currently on effexor and it suppresses my libido almost completely. This is unacceptable. So I asked my doc what is a good replacement med and he says Cymbalta. I have a friend who's on it and she says it makes her spacy half the day. Is this a universal thing or is it just her? I can't afford to be spacy all the time. Like most aspies I value my clarity of thought most highly. I've been on litterally ever other med on the market. I'm also currently taking Lamictal and Geodon. If Cymbalta doesnt work out, my only other recourse is electroshock.

So: anyone ever been on Cymbalta?

Ask Adverb; he's been on Cymbalta. I think it made him suicidal; not sure.

Lots of docs are pushing Cymbalta these days. My GP prescribed it to me for anxiety and I filled the scrip but then after researching it extensively decided I didn't want to take it. I googled "cymbalta sucks" and "cymbalta great" to get both sides of it.
