I am very sad because a couple of days ago my cat Ginger who I have known for five years had to be put down. Last August I gave him to my aunt because Ginger and my other kitten Saphemie were not getting along, my aunt offered to look after him. Sometime after that he developed a condition named Bowen´s disease this causes small non deadly skin cancers to grow on different parts of the skin as well as a non cancerous tumor on his spleen. A couple of days ago the surgeon suggested to my aunt that Ginger be operated on unfortunately there were complications he got a thrombosis that dislodged and lodged at the bottom of his aorta meaning he lost blood supply to his back legs and couldn´t use them. It was eventually decided that putting him down was best. I am very sad about it especially as she (my aunt) had left things he would have lived about another 2 years and being 14 that would have been a good life.
