well another thing i love is going down the drain.
newest one is hotwheels after posting some pics of my hotwheels on hotwheels collector.com or net or something and getting no responce at all i no i give up on collecting hotwheels and ever hopeing to sell them.

just a year ago i ran into the same problem with devaint art i post pics and no one cares so i gave up and the lack of comments made me hate my style because if they don't like it no one else will. oh and my friends and family even if they like my stuff they don't count their comments mean nothing to me, well except for maybe my friend because she's an artist and knows what she's talking about.

i also like to write but i'm afraid to post anything on ff.net because i might give that up too after getting no comments.

i also gave up making sprite comics after a tone of people didn't like the one i made said the one was cliche and the other was too serious.

i also like to make videos and that's the only thing i have enough pride in to push through the negativity.

how many other people have been easily discourged like this to drop something you love.

unfortunatly, I understand where you're coming from. Ive been writing for 2 years, and I've noticed that if you have talent people dont care. Meanwhile, if you just pull something out of your ass, it gets all the love in the world. People feel you know you're good already and don't care if you get any kind of compliments or criticism. I wont ever quit writing but I do have my times when I just dont write for a couple weeks or even a month. Its kinda like spring cleaning in a way. I just let life take over and lead for a while. There's something many people, even those on this site, don't know what is like. Its like lethargy, feeling like nothing. No matter how hard you try to fit in, or how much effort you put into somehting you love, it means nothing. You try to find a group, an area in life where you belong. Even the group that should accept you wont. Im sorry you too have to live like this, hopefully one day someone will understand, but I know better.

I get vey easily discouraged over creative things. I am always paranoid about the quality of things I do. I don't really show it to anyone unless I am am fairly satisfied and put some time into it. Then either on message boards or other people I know that I show it off to, the response is limited. The hardest thing is I don't know if its good or bad, I have nothing to go on.

I'd like to get some constructive criticism, and when something is good I'd like to know to.

My creative outlet is making midi music though.

Oh well, I guess the point is to be content with what you do without worrying about what other people will think. But that doesn't help towards improvement in a craft, and creating something that someone else likes is a very satisfiing experience. I've had some of my songs appreciated by friends which is nice.

Sorry to hear that Jetfox. I think a lot of people here can relate, like Emoal6, Pugly and myself :)

It is like everything I do or create is invisible to others so why do I bother to display or show it to others. It is especially true for my writing. I very rarely write anything creative, but I would never show it to others. Even responding to posts I get that feeling sometimes.

I am somehow reminded of George McFly.."What if nobody liked it, what if they told me I had no talent? I just don't think I could take that kind of rejection"

well for one i'm happy to know i'm not alone but i'm sad that other people have to feel this way too.

i have been thinking of drawing because a fic inspired me to make a pic of marluxia with bright orange hair [it's normaly light pink] but since i hate my style i'm afraid of messing him up to where i can't tell it's him.

and that's not all i've had other ideas because i am an artist at heart and i know it but to stop getting ideas i'd have to stop doing other things i enjoy like reading fan fiction, comics, and other stuff.

and i'm an art whore on deviant art now basicly i surf the site and save any pic i like onto my computer.

but this whole not drawing thing bothers me. i should have kept my art to myself.

well i did the unthinkable and put a comic up on a site called drunk duck and i can hear the complaints already.

i know i sound pessimistic but after all the other let-downs anyone would be. well i'll probably lose comic making next after this. and i still haven't drawn anything i was thinking of posting one of my pics so i can see if my style is really that bad but i'm afraid to.
