I get that as well, but it's only when I'M the one doing the talking. It'll go something like this:

Friend: "Whaddya think of the new buses?"
Me: "Well, I think they they're kinda..." *stares nonchantedly at a cloud that looks like a butt*
Friend: "Uh, Tim? You were saying?"
Me: "Huh, wha? What was I talking about?"
Friend: "Oh, god..." *puts hand to forehead*
