It does somewhat for me. I've noticed these few things that I stick by:
1) I avoid Nutrasweet, Ace-K, and Splenda at all costs
2) For me there's a definite hypoglycemic component. I don't go hungry for too long, typically I do small snacks through the day. I also especially make sure that I don't go to sleep hungry - I'll be for isht the next day.
3) When I'm feeling bugged out neurologically and both of these are in check I usually try to get more protein, if you don't mind something like teryaki or peppered beef jerky from the local convenient mart (unless you have MSG allergies), otherwise going out for a philly steak or burger for lunch it'll help.
4) Caffein depends - sometimes coffee helps, sometimes it makes things worse, fortunately I'm coming to know the difference pretty well.
5) If insomnia has been an issue I may need some junk food - for whatever reason fatty comfort food helps if your overtaxing your adrenal glands. Getting enough sleep of course is better but alas not always voluntary.

I have to reaffirm something I just said above. Typically speaking my symptoms are no worse than just fatigue here and there - my nervous system typically won't fall apart and crush my mannerisms/social skills down. Today I worked a good stretch - 8 to 6:30, but the difference was that I had no snacks with me. By the time tonight came around I can't even express how out of shape I was. You know how some aspies have a very weird/cute bit to their mannerisms, their eyes widen and glass out, they start looking real squirly and vulnerable and that point it seems like they have trouble chaining two sentences together? That's pretty much what happened to me, and even after a big meal I still feel like I'm just starting to come back to my usual self.
Seriously, keep granola bars at your desk. I like the Special K bars, specifically the 90 calorie per, and I'll vary from having either one in the morning and one in the afternoon or a couple either way - depending on what my body is telling me I need. I'm not quite as obsessed about losing my appearance of masculity as I used to be, mainly because I know that kind of stress simply makes a bad situation worse (anxiety tares up your resources), and while I have come to guile my way around a fair amount of it its still quite frustrating to feel that out of it where people completely change their tone when talking to you - especially as a guy and knowing what the consequences of showing 'weakness' generally are.
My diet:
1. Absolutly no red meat- It's disgusting to eat red meat.
2. No mixing dairy with meat- I don't know why I do it.
3. No drinking milk- I do eat other dairy products, but drinking cow's milk makes my throat all mucusy.
4. No diet soda- Tastes like cat s**t. I occasionally do have a non diet soda, but mostly I drink water.
5. No coffee- Even with a kilo of sugar added, I can still taste the bitterness. I do drink tea, but without anything added to it. It's less bitter than coffee. I find adding sugar makes it taste more bitter.

I quit grains, dairy and legumes about 10 days ago because they are recent additions to human diet (evolutionarily speaking), and grains gave me indigestion, and carbs weren't doing me much good. Hypoglycemic almost every day. Now I draw my diet from meat (red, white, fish, fowl), lots of vegetables, eggs, nuts, berries, coconut cream, little fruit, no junk food.
No indigestion or hypo at all since the change.

Well for breakfast I have musli with lots of berries added to it with a low fat natural yogurt and something like a kiwi because its higher in vitamin C than oranges and has more fiber.
For lunch I eat pasta quite a lot using a tomato sauce, wholemeal pasta, kidney beans, garlic, chillies and onions all mixed in. Really fine and full of flavour.
I will often eat tins of mushy peas on their own as they taste amazing.
Eat pears and kiwis again as snacks.
Sometimes have toast with wholemeal bread
Hard boil an egg every day as it is full of good nutrition but limit it to one as it is high in cholesterol. Its best to make sure it is free range as well as they produce better proteins because they are fed better food, get more exercise and of course for humane reasons of the poor caged hens.
I will also sometimes eat steaks or strips but it all depends on money really.
Beans on toast is another amazing option.
I am prescribed Fluoxetine (prozac) for my Aspergers.
I also take Omega 3 Fish oil supplement (which i am thinking of switching to a flaxseed omega 3 and 6 supplement)
Garlic supplement if i have not managed to eat garlic
and a supplement containing Korean Ginseng and Ginko Biloba extracts which is meant to be helpful in delivering oxygen to the brain
I have creatine powder that I am going to start using soon after I focus on some cardio and interval training and also would like to by ribose to use alongside creatine, and blueberry extract because it combination with vitamin K (I think its K) it is meant to be good for brain function
One thing that worries me though, is the combination of my medication and supplements going to mess my head up?
Because I have only started taking most of these including Prozac about a month and a half ago.
