I've been thinking about writing my autobiography, and I was thinking about requesting my medical records - Physical and Mental health - to let the public know about the things I've gone through in my life, and since I don't have my sister's permission to mention her in my autobiography, should I make a name up, such as Agnes or Amelia, or would it be best not to mention that I have a sister?

Making up a name for your sister might be a good middle course of action.

Somewhere I read that a writer wrote about his family and said some really unflattering things, but the family members seemed happened just to be mentioned in print! Now, please don't count on this happening, but it will happen some percentage of the time.

Another entirely credible option is to use a pen name like Samuel Clemens used 'Mark Twain.'
