I've thought of getting one down the road because I've heard that lots of the games are physical and good for excersise.

Any truth to that?

Yeah, people break s**t playing the Wii in a space that's too small.

Another common way to get a Wii injury - or to damage property with your Wii - is to not wear your wrist strap, or have the wrist strap break. I ordered the new and improved wrist strap from Nintendo, because I was afraid the old kind would break on me (and I wanted some free stuff, heh). On blogs about this, I've seen lots of TVs and lighting fixtures broken because someone was in a space too small, or their Wiimote was thrown. But for the most part, you don't really need to worry. Just wear the wrist strap, have enough space around yourself, and know that you don't have to go crazy to make the gestures with the Wiimote.

As for using the Wii to work out, I find it is ok. I am actually hoping to lose weight using it. I think I have lost some since the holidays. The Wii currently comes with a game called Wii Sports, and I have been made to sweat from that game numerous times. The Boxing is actually a good work out I find because your whole upper body is into it; you're ducking and weaving. You're arms get action too, of course. When you get "PRO" level in the various Wii Sports (bowling, baseball, etc) things can get hard.

I'd rather play EyeToy Kinetic than a Wii.
