A friend of mine and I decided to make an activism video about Autism, so we went ahead and filmed it.

The only thing that's missing is some music... Anyone who knows how to do that, let me know.

I liked it. It's pretty well produced.

It has absolutely no sound. Your speakers are fine.

Thanks, I worked really hard on it. :)

Oh, that's okay. Maybe someone can help me eventually, or I can do it when I learn how.

Import the video file into Windows Movie Maker (or whatever other video editor you might own eg. Sony Vegas.) Insert the video onto the timeline. Now import the music file which you want to use. Do the same as you did for the video but insert it underneath the video.

I hope I helped.
(you're going to tell me you own a Mac now aren't you )

No, I use Windows 7 Professional with Adobe Premier Plus. I'll give it a try tomorrow when I have access to the files.

EDIT: Oh yes, that helped a lot. Thanks. :D

Wow.

I really admire you for doing that. They should show that at my school for Autism Awareness Month, instead of all the "Autistic children do not feel pain or fear danger" crap that I think they get from Autism Speaks. I hope to meet with a school administrator to discuss changing it soon. I like the video, it sends the message out quite well.

I have to admit, it's pretty concrete for a beginning!! I also second the comments saying that this is much more realistic than the whole "Autism is a monster waiting to take your child" campaign. One thing I want to know though - are you planning to put information in this video or are you going to do it in later videos?

I'm planning to put info in later videos, but there's already a lot of informational videos out there who explain it a lot better than I do. I think I'll have Natasha (the girl in the video) film me giving my awareness presentation, maybe that could help.
