These are three separate poems, two with no titles.

The Power
A thousand drops of water
Are not enough to drown a man
But a half a dozen tears
Could set his soul asunder
And had we the power
To sway with the might of rain
The flood would drown a thousand souls
And shatter all their puzzles
---------------------------------------
On broken wings
We take flight
With golden strands
Our death entwined
And if the stars
Ensnare our thoughts
Sunlight will gleam away
Our twilight dreams
As we grow alone
Among the weeds
----------------------------------
If only I could envy the heavens
The pureness of a barren sky
The taste of thunder in my mouth
I would long to fly and be still upon it
But I live in the realm of earth
And my dreams reserved to walking
And in walking to living
And in living to love
And with love to learn
And with knowledge to understand
And with understanding gain wisdom
How simple it would be to dream of the sky
Yet I wander the world in yearning
