as the title may suggest, i'm to scared to tell anyone about my problems.

for years now i have struggled with what i thought was just aspergers. but now as iv gotten older i have now come to realize that it looks an awful lot like OCD. even my friends thought i had it. but it only showed up when i was stressed.
but now it seams that it goes in cycles, with my stress. and each time the stressed cycle comes back, the possible OCD side comes back harder and worse to deal with each time. it will go away in a few weeks after my stress does, but i'm now scared that the older i get, the worse it gets each time it returns.
i know i need help. but i have no idea what to do or what to say, or to who...
im soo stuck

Just curious. What is it you do over and over that you can't control?

the most common ones are:
-checking things. checking alarm on phone, checking i have my wallet, or with my assignments, i have to keep reading through it over and over, because im scared im going to fail. i have to stay up real late for ages until i think its good enough. and if i don't have time to perfect it i start to freak out and have panic attacks.

-biting inside of my mouth/tongue. i feel a bump or imperfection, so i have to bite it to "smooth it out" to the point sometimes my mouth bleeds a lot, but i cant stop, because it doesn't feel smooth enough or right. (this one i have had for over 5 years, and i am 19). as a result my teeth have been worned down from the biting. and i am scared to even kiss my bf, in case he notices the scars or sores, as they are very obvious when i talk.

-scared of contaminating std, or pregnancy or doing anything sexual because of those fears (i know this is unreasonable as i have never done anything like that with my bf, and i freak out even thinking of doing something like that.)

-i have these thoughts that keep going through my mind that wont go away. like scary thoughts that something bad will happen, eg, school alarm wont go off, miss bus, fail school. they usually happen at night, and as a result i cant get to sleep till 2am (i am already on sleeping pills) but they aren't helping enough, or aren't helping my other problems

- repeating things in my head. (or prayers when i get real bad) eg:
i have to repeat the prayer over and over. even when i know iv said it enough and want to stop i cant. because then i get these horrible thoughts, that if i stop now, than my prayer wont come true. then all i can do is just worry that all the bad things i don't want to happen will happen if i stop. especially when its about something i care about. sometimes it can go on for hours (most often at night) and can continue a few times a day. and no matter how hard i want to quit, i cant. its like a cd that keeps repeating in my head, that i cant stop. at night it is worst. last night, at 2am and i couldn't sleep, i kept repeating the prayer over and over for over 2 hours, and i couldn't stop myself. in the end, the only reason why i stopped was because i literally passed out from sleep deprivation. it usually last 3-6 weeks and this only happens when things get REAL bad. so thankfuly it only happens 2-3 times a year.

i have briefly mentioned these online before, but i have never told anyone in my life any of these.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theory_of_mind lack of theory of mind leads to detection of autism as well.

Autist who have lack of understanding other people - have communication problems, can not anticipate other peoples motives, have lack of understanding of social situation, may not understand feelings of other people, may have problems with understanding what other people mean etc.

If you are OCD you do not have problems with ToM.

do you mean to say that people with autism who lack theory of mind cant ALSO have OCD? as i believe i have theory of mind to an extent, as i only have aspergers mildly. but how does not having theory of mind mean you dont have OCD? sorry but your comment confuses me :)

If the doctor gave you OCD label, but refuses to give you Autistic label of anykind it means you are only Obsessive compulsive, but your brain is wired in normal way. If you do have some additional autistic behavior then it must be considered again and maybe then OCD is related to Asperger.

Not sure if yes, but I from practical stand point of view OCD and Asperger are common. However it maybe hard to say what syptoms are Autistic and what is OCD so if they are comorbid it is simply hard to say. However I think OCD and Asperger are possible.

Well, I've had OCD all my life and it was one of the reasons I was diagnosed with Aspergers, I have never had any medication or professional help to cure my OCD, and it sucks! I know I won't ever get help just because that's the type of person I am, but I would recommend that you get help, seriously it will make a difference. I have a lot of obsessions and a few of them being that I have to sleep in my own bed, I have to have two showers a day and I constantly wash my hands. In high school these "traits" made me a social outcast, I could never go on any of the trips to other countries or anything, my Mum and Dad were happy to pay and stuff, I just couldn't go. I would talk to family, and if you have one, a best friend. I'm sure your parents would be adamant to cure your OCD, so they would probably get you professional help. Just tell someone, Anyone! Or if you are old enough, get help yourself just google it! If you are really too scared to talk to someone then type in "How to get rid of OCD", I'm sure you will get plenty of results. Good luck! :D
