When I go long enough without talking to anyone, I just take it as read that we all know that life sucks and we're just doing what we can with the hand that we're dealt. But then someone has to open their stupid mouth and say something completely obvious about the "system" (whichever) or how the boss is an a**hole, or how Bush lies... Well, really, and you elected him twice. For seven f*****g years I've been hearing the same thing over and over again. Pack up your s**t, learn something, and move on. Men and women are different, yes? Life is like a gigantic, jagged shard of glass and you still complain about paper cuts. The Devil you say! The school system sucks? Life is endlessly contradictory and materialistic? And you didn't know that before! Have confidence not because you deserve it, but because you're going to die a slow death without it. Have faith, don't try to think through your position, and whatever you do, don't look down. WHOA! HEY! I just realized that the idiots are outbreeding everyone! Listen to me when I tell you of my discovery! Let me pull you back a level of Stoicism to tell you about this new theory I have of Everyone Being Out In Pursuit Of Their Own Well Being At The Expense Of Everyone Else Which Is Not What They Said They Were Doing. Fascinating stuff, eh? Yes, this is what I think about between episodes of Sex in the City when my wife is out of town on Marketing Business.
