Help me with the chatroom please?

Since wrongplanet implemented it's chatroom, I have only been able to log in to it once, which was at 1.AM my time. Every other time I have looked at the page, I either get a grey screen or my computer freezes up. What am I doing wrong?

Java applets can be a right pain in the neck. When I have similar problems, Its usually a memory issue. Try restarting Firefox, if that doesn't help a reboot might be the best option. Sorry I can't be any more helpful.

If you can, try downloading Trillian and using that. I always connect to the chat that way because I also had problems with the java page.

What are Firefox and Trillian?

Firefox = great browser. IE sucks and many people consider it a security risk cos it has more holes than a teabag. Get it here: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

Trillian = multi network IM/IRC program. If you connect to the chat channel (#wrongplanet - you need to connect to the server irc.freenode.net then join the channel) using IRC instead of the applet that should solve your problem. You can get Trillian from download.com.
