I have been communicating very differently with people online lately, and I think it's because of my membership here. I just thought I would let you all know that!

That's a good thing, right?

I mean, you aren't now commenting in forums saying "Ahh, shove off, ya slimy toad" and saying it was inspired by the folks at Wrong Planet.

Seriously, though, I wish I'd known about this site and the Asperger's long ago. If I hadn't gone to the site I dislike, though, I would never have known about Asperger's. So, I guess that other site wasn't a waste in total.

And realizing that I really cannot communicate effectively with other people all the time is also good to know. I can work on that. And I can work on that here, with people that are perhaps more similar to me in just the ways our brains operate.

I'm still just as lost and have to go through the definitions and meanings, like I did with your post, and there's usually something funny about picking out the wrong meaning.

Not always, because partly it is about a thread I posted recently which nobody has replied to.

I've had that happen. I'm never sure if I "killed" the thread or if everyone just happened to wander off at the same time. One time I put in so many facts and links that I am pretty sure it not only killed the thread, but killed the tribe, and made one guy unsubscribe.

Well, they were going on and on about something I knew a little bit about, and of course, they were all wrong.

I told them so too.

I think that's one of the things I'm supposed to change though. There are apparently ways of doing that without alienating the entire group. I don't know how.

There are always things that we don't know about. Why people don't respond when we write. Maybe we said enough. Maybe they wanted to think about it. I sometimes read a post and don't respond right away, because I do want to think about it. Then I forget what I was thinking about and never do make it back to reply.

It also seems there are conversation lulls. No, somebody didn't just fart in the room, it's just that for some reason, everyone is quiet all at the same time. I wonder sometimes if that might be instinctual, you know how birds will ALL be singing and then they suddenly are quiet. Maybe that happens in people. Even online.

It would not be unusual for any single one of us to have something else to do. Right? And it's probably about equal in odds that all of us would have something else to do on a night or two or three. Not because we all planned a camping trip together, but because one person has this house repair to attend to. Someone else has laundry. A third person has bad allergies.

Hey, was it in the last couple days? Because I was at my old site, and it seemed a whole lot of forums are deserted. Utterly quiet. No new posts at all today. No add ons to old posts. Completely deserted. I don't know why. I'm not even there posting and I know darn well my absence hasn't made an entire site shut up.

So it's certainly not just you in one thread. Okay?

I take that back. At least one person has replied to the thread I am referring to.

One is good! I'm always thrilled if one person responds to a post I make. I have such low self-esteem that I figure no one will respond.

I'm much better at adding into discussions. Then someone has already thought of the original subject and if I have something to add, then I can.

But I don't really like starting threads. This place, WP, is soooo much nicer and calmer, so maybe I will start more threads. Even if nobody else responds. Somebody might respond in the future.

It is nice to be new, because I can post all my old links. I just have to find the right places for them.

Would you like to know what that thread is about?

It crossed my mind briefly to ask. Then I thought that maybe it doesn't matter what it's about, because it's something that you were interested enough in to make a response. It doesn't matter what I think about the thread or subject.

And after seeing some of the threads in previous sites, I am more than a little afraid to ask. Like one person recommended a thread somewhere on the other site, and I went there, and I was sickened. Really.

So if it's NOT gross or creepy, I would like to know. I think. Maybe.

The thread is about a young lady by the name of Angelle Tymon. If you're British, you probably know that there is a craze in England that involves cell phone quiz shows. In it, people win money by calling in on their cell phones and winning the simple games that they play every night.

Here in America, the network GSN, which used to be known as Game Show Network and now has a slogan of, "Get in the game," worked in a venture with a company called Optimistic Entertainment to Americanize "quiznation," which is the most popular cell phone quiz show in England.

When the first show of the cell phone quiz show craze in America premiered, the American producer decided to bring the most popular host of "quiznation" in England here to America. Her name is Mel Peachey. Most recently, she moved back to England because she missed her mom, and she wanted to host "quiznation" in England again. As of right now, she is doing just that and is very happy!

Angelle Tymon, the young lady who replaced her as host, is an absolutely wonderful person and very amazing as well!

She is from Louisiana originally, studied journalism and got a degree in dance. She was also a weeknight reporter for the college radio station operated by Cal State Northridge, which is where she transferred to when she got her journalism and dance degrees. She was also the recipient of an Edward R. Murrow award for writing about Dimples Karaoke Bar, which I have no clue what that is. In addition to all that, she was also a cheerleader for the New Orleans Hornets.

Her personality is a cross between Carol Burnett and the girl next door, if you know what I mean. She is that cute!

If you want to see her picture and her in action, please refer to the thread, "America has a new rising star."

I think I might have a crush on her!
