I want to die again. I think I did terminally poor in college this year. The best I have to hope for is the same s**t that has been destroying me these past three years, and that's if I'm lucky, chances are I'll end up on the street.

I kind of know how you feel. I'm afraid I'm not doing as well as I should this quarter, mainly due to stress. Plus, I have two weeks left. I just want to get out of here! (sigh) :(

You're still afraid (this is a good thing), you don't wish to die just yet....

When you begin to lack fear...seek help in person.

I did not goto college till I was 23 so you have plenty of time to fail and start again. I went 3 years and had fairly good grades GPA 3.6 or so. But after 8 years your credits expire if you do not get a degree so since its been 11 years now I have no college credit :) Though in theory if I ever go back I could get advance placement testing I guess.

Well, you can't do as badly as I have done in the past. I went to college for four semesters before I got any grades that did not begin with a W

You'll get the hang of it eventually. Just don't overreact right now and do something drastic.

Besides, Raph and TM1 are right. It's not the end of the world.

You may just not be ready yet.
I pissed around in college for
6 years, and didn't finish up
my degree. Seeing some
of what 'real life' was like,
made me WANT to do well.

Although, I feel like I've pissed
away grad school. Still, although
I didn't impress anyone here enough
to get into the PhD program, it looks
like I'll get out.

Dude, come on. There are a million problems in one's life to kill oneself over, and YOU choose GRADES!? Come on, you can do better than that! :D Sorry, just trying to make you feel better, hope this little joke worked.

What's your major?

Grades screw you over how? In what way?

No employer I had ever asked for a transcript. Of course, I wasn't looking to head a Fortune 500 company anyway. Maybe they do at that level.

What is your major?

Why did you pick that major?

Have you looked into employment in that field at all?

Me, I messed up. I should have gotten into computers. I do like numbers and logic, so it would seem to be an ideal job. But I didn't even know how to use a computer when I started college. I got my first one in university.

Many people work at home on computers. For a company, but all the work is done at home. That makes a lot of sense, and you will save money and time by not having to commute. For that matter, you can do the work in your underwear in the middle of the night if you want. 8O

For other jobs, tradesman skills are good. People are always going to need handymen. Skilled people to do electrical, plumbing,... those two are especially good. Knowing about solar, wind, that is the wave of the future.

Trade skills can be bartered with too. Fixing computers for others. Appliances. Building custom things. Putting in light fixtures. Redoing pipes. Those things you can use yourself, for yourself, and save money.

There was a time in your life, if you were a blankie person, that the removal of said blankie was certainly the end of the world. But the world didn't end, did it?

I didn't really enjoy college until I started back at 31. I'd tried at 16 and 17. Couldn't do it then. Was NOT into it. My mum went back to college at 48, I think it was, to get her nursing degree.

It's never too late to go back and try something new. er, unless you're dead, in which case it's too late. That's one thing that keeps me going. I have bad back pain that shoots down my legs. All the time. I suffer depression.

I don't really believe in heaven or hell. but it would be just my luck there would be a heaven, I'd get there, I'd look down, and the day after I died, THAT would be the day they came up with a cure for my back pain and my depression.

Start looking into people that are famous. See what their younger days were like. You may be surprised to find some high school drop outs and people that got into a lot of trouble in school became some of the wealthiest people known.

So, maybe if you keep doing what you are doing, you will be very well to do someday. Just remember the little people after you're famous. Like me. I'm a little person. Remember ME!
