greenblue, I don't think it's that you're socially inept. I think the problem you have here is that you have a very inaccurate view of yourself. You seem to think you keep iritating people on here, when you don't! Most of the perceived problems you have here don't acually exist, you just have a very low opinion of yourself it seems. You're a great person, and you don't need to keep apologising for things you say on here. I don't think you've ever said anything to me which has upset me or offended me. :)

I suspect myself as having a language processing disorder (Central Auditory Processing Disorder or CAPD). I find it easier to "read" text than to talk on the phone - consequently, I am more afraid of the phone than I am of the computer!! ! It's funny - talking on the computer seems more natural to me than talking on the phone. To most NT's, it's the exact opposite.

So, just take a deep breath and think about something you like. I think most Aspies have that overwhelming feeling (anxiety??) on occassion where they're left wondering if they offended someone. This, I believe, stems from the fact that most Aspies lack "Mind Theory" - or the ability to accurately gauge other people's emotions to their facial features (please do tell me if I'm mixing up my terms again). If you did offend an Aspie, however, I think most would tell you instead of giving you the god awful silent treatment.

Makes sense? I sure hope so.

Listen to what people are telling you. I've often read posts of yours and thought that you seem like a cool guy.

I am ashamed
many times I regret what I write including this thread.
Thanks to all
But still, I dont get well people's reaction, I am always uncertain when I post something, I am always afraid I might say something very stupid. I also have very low self-esteem, I collapse with a tiny bit of criticism.
I am real sorry I did bring this up, I really feel stupid

Greenblue, just mellow out.
As long as you're not trolling,
you're doing fine. If people dish
some abuse on you, you just have
to learn to laugh it off.

And just because people don't respond
to posts, doesn't mean that they're ignoring
them. Sometimes, the most poignant and
moving posts are the most difficult to formulate
a proper response to.

Thanks calandale
That's an issue of me, I get frustrated easily, with just a tiny microscopic thing and I melt down. That is really bad.
And I am paranoid, sometimes I believe everybody hates me
I thought I did annoy you once, but dont remember when exactly.

You sound like someone I know...=Me.
I have the same issues, I will delete things that I feel might get a harsh response from others for fear of getting upset.
I have a thin skin...we thin skinners need to stick together hehe and learn to cultivate a thicker skin against the insensitive fools out there who make us targets.

I suggest... remembering that they are only words from some person you will probably never meet and who is different to you.
I mean, in the end, who cares if a few people might not like you?
We are never going to be liked by everyone and there are always going to be people with opinions and personalities so different to our own that there are bound to be clashes.

And quit being ashamed of expressing your feelings... I had the same issue and yeah, it doesnt help that some have issues with those who express emotions, but that is their problem.
Feelings are what make us human.
