I can't submit medium-length or long comments because the site always thinks I'm a robot and wants me to fill out captcha.

Well, I can't fill out a captcha. Everything Google makes is spyware, so I have Google blocked, so I can't even see half of the captcha, plus I have JavaScript turned off for security.

I just want whoever is in charge to see that people are being prevented from posting. Are there really enough bots and spammers on this site to necessitate so many captchas?

People are being prevented from posting because of their own actions.

I do not have Google blocked. This is the choice that I have made.
Captcha does not block me. The choice you have made prevents you from posting.

For as long as Alex chooses to use Cloudflare, there will be captchas and server errors.

When a person encounters serious issues accessing something (and Internet security counts as serious in this context), the word "prevented" is an acceptable description of the results of those issues. Just like I'd be prevented from posting if someone put a gun to my head and told me to not post, even though I could simply choose to risk my life and post anyways.

Thank you, Mr. Useless Answers. Try a little harder to grasp idiomatic usage of the English language, please.
You are over=reacting, and your personal attacks have been reported.

Is it “useless” to you when someone points out that the problems you experience may be the direct result of your own actions?

You are not being prevented from posting, as the two posts from you in this thread have shown.

From what I have seen captcha has been triggered much more often lately making posting on Wrong Planet generally a more difficult and time consuming process.

Maybe Alex wishes to encourage more concisely written posts?

Today it has been triggering the Cloudflare 'not a robot' captcha checkbox, but it hasn't given me the various images to look through.

Aye, welcome to the hilarious madness known as "Cloudflare".

I've seen this crap happen on basically every Cloudflare-infected site I've ever been on. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that the admins of this site dont have all that much control over how bonkers the captcha goes.

This is just one of the many reasons why it's very rare that I use this forum anymore.

And no, Fnord, it's not just user "choices" that are doing this. What exactly causes Cloudflare to target people is unknown, but... well, I'll put it this way: I've had different results based on the LOCATION I'm coming from. If I were to use my laptop from the house in Wisconsin, for instance? No problems. If I use it from here, my main house? Cloudflare will spaz out. Every time. My posting style, and frequency, is not different between the two. JUST location.

Likewise, THIS PC also gets it alot (and this is a brand new machine with heavy security (note that the laptop I mentioned also is heavily secure) and almost nothing installed on it yet. Squeaky clean, in other words), while my older PC upstairs, which is made out of distilled crazy and is breaking down (and is probably infected by a variety of things. It's about as secure as wet tissue paper), will not get targeted. It just doesnt. Cloudflare's "security" will ignore posts I make when I use the extra loopy machine, and they will be posted just fine without me having to do a captcha.

None of my machines are set to block sites of any sort. The only "blocking" they do is to use Adblock, and they all use the exact same set of adblockers with the exact same configuration (since I've found it to be effective without being intrusive).

Note that Cloudflare is also capable of showing incomplete/broken captchas without you blocking ANYTHING.

Again, this is Cloudflare. It is madness. I've dealt with it so very, VERY many times now, and nothing it does surprises me anymore. Frankly, it's futile to try to grasp the reasoning behind the horrid thing.

In the last couple of days it gets triggered by every quote no matter how small and once it happened when I used no quote. A lot of these times I have go through multiple box checks.
