I really enjoyed the first one, I don't have it installed at the moment but I have played through all the ending options at medium level and am just waiting until my memory fades so it seems fresher and I get some surprises at the hardest level.
I don't normally enjoy FPS as they usually lack any real depth or my old AMD won't run them but along with the original half-life this one is great.
