They have the same abbreviation. WP.

When I first came to Wrongplanet I would see WP in posts and sometimes mistake it for referring to Wikipedia.

I even turn it into a verb, and say "I wikied the topic". If you can "Google" something than why not also "Wiki" it?

So does "Washington Post", "Wordpress" and "Warsaw Pact". The first is a newspaper, the second is a text app, and the latter is the now defunct alliance of Soviet dominated countries in eastern Europe.

I googled WP abbreviation & my results at the top said WordPress, White People, Well Played, Wrong Person, & Weather Permitting.
