Have days when I don't feel like talking at work

I sometimes have bad days whilst at work where I find myself not wanting to engage with some of the staff and just go about my day being quiet doing my job. I obviously can't remain silent as I have to engage with customers and staff because of my work. I find it hard to try shut off any personal thoughts in my head and keep them separate from my work. I seem to feel bad for feeling this as though it's somehow "selfish" and "rude". But so far no one has complained. Some colleagues have asked if I'm okay and noticed something to them isn't right. I seem to find myself finding easier talking to female staff but not much to the male staff.
