Are you supposed to lose your virginity at a certain point?

There are times when I do find myself feeling bad to have got to now and still not having experienced these things yet and then questions arise, like will people be expecting me to have had experience? Is it a "red flag" to be in your 30s and still a virgin and so on. Because I seem to think sex is talked about a lot more now than it maybe did in the distant past because of social media, films, etc. It feels as though it's a "requirement" to lose it by a certain point in life like during your late teens. I know that may sound absurd but that's how it feels. In my late teens, I did have a female friend I perhaps wanted a relationship with but she didn't feel same with me.

Well, it's typically normal to. I've read the average age is like 17-18 or so. TBH I didn't until I was 25.

As they say, Sex sells and some of it is blown out of proportion to be sure. Some would see someone being a virgin in their 30s as a red flag for sure but within the autistic community I've come to find this is fairly a common thing. However, I am sure there are NT men who are 40 somethings and still virgins, it's just not talked about.

I'm definitely not asexual but in some ways sex IMO is overrated.

well in my Christian community there is no set age you have to lose your virginity by. It goes by getting married. In my church of Christ community not being a virgin would be a red flag even if you were in your 40's although I know thats not typical for most of the world.
