Hello, I'm new to this. Who should I discuss my weaknesses with about making new friends, maintaining friendships, and female relationships and dating with someone like me with autism before I spend money on either one? Need recommendations,
Thank you.

Neither your message nor your profile give us any clue as to where you are located, so there's no way for anyone here to help you find any relevant therapists, counselors, or coaches in your local area.

I'm extremely skeptical that therapists or dating coaches would be able to majorly help autistic people with this stuff. I think it's better to try to find places & groups where we might fit in better & be more accepted instead of masking & pushing ourselves to meet NT expectations. It might be worth a try if the service is extremely cheap(like if it's covered by your health insurance) or if you can afford to waste a lot of money.

My neighbor Anita told me to consult a therapist back when I was single and looking for love

I think it would be a good idea.

Although I think people that see a therapist, have to be realistic. A date can't be guaranteed of course, but therapy must be in a way that the chances are drastically improved, because the person has worked on social skills, has become more attractive to the other sex, shows interest in others.

But I was out of luck. I dislike therapists because I get questionable ones that are interested in money, not in therapy.

I have not seen a website about this matter. I do see videos of dating coaches who approaches unknown women and started to talk to them. I don't think that will would work for any man.

Exactly!! !

Even Anita knew that my chances would increase if I saw a therapist vs. if I didn't!

^I agree that working on oneself is very important in general. However the things that ultimately worked out for me with relationships went against the advice my therapist & psychiatrist gave me. They basically wanted me to be very stable, independent & self-sufficient before getting in a relationship. Those things are just not in the cards for me & I find I'm more stable, independent, & self-sufficient living with my girlfriend than I was living with my parents. They also thought it was better for me to be in a relationship with someone who was more stable, independent, & self-sufficient but those types of people tend to not understand or accept me. My current girlfriend is the opposite of those things & we understand, relate, & accept each other better than anyone else ever has.

My bad. I didn't know much about that feature. My profile now says it.

A dating coach is the best possible choice @AIrunner!! !

Why?

Because they specialize in dating and relationships unlike a therapist

Actually, you should probably use both in conjunction with each other because a therapist can help you with generic stuff like confidence and self-love (which will increase your chances of finding a partner) and a dating coach will help with dating-specific things!

So there's your answer
