What if… the US stopped supporting Israel tomorrow?

Those Evangelicals, they're basically a doomsday cult. I wish they could be designated as a terrorist group like they deserve to be.
Ayatollah's Shi'ism has almost exactly the same doomsday ideology; they are literally the Muslim version of Evangelicals.

It's really scary that such people exist and are given power and authority, on both sides of the coin....

Hmmm. As far as I can tell, about half the people here on Wrong Planet are from countries outside the U.S.A. and Israel, primarily from the U.K. I don't get the feeling that most of them want, secretly or otherwise, to see the U.S.A. and Israel "destroyed," but I do get the feeling that many of them would like the U.S.A. and Israel to become more law-abiding members of the international order.
(Folks reading this from outside the U.S.A., please comment.)
Anyhow, to whatever extent your impression is correct, one way to greatly reduce the hostilities would be for Israel, as an ethno-nationalist Apartheid-like state, to be replaced by a single unified bi-national Israel-Palestine, with equal rights for all, similar to the ending of Apartheid in South Africa.
Of course, that's much easier said than done. But it would clearly be the best solution for Palestinian Christians, other religious minorities, and non-religious Palestinians.
See also the following Wrong Planet threads:
- Palestine/Israel: 2-state solution vs. 1 binational state?
- Israel/Palestine -- how could a one-state solution work?
(Note: Further discussion about one-state solutions vs. two-state solutions, and the feasibility thereof, should probably take place in one or both of the above two threads, rather than here.)

I am from an EU country in Western Europe. From my perspective the statement: "I think people around the world nowadays fall into two and only two categories: Those who secretly wish to see Israel and the US destroyed and those who are more open and honest about their hostilities towards both countries." is totally nonsense. What most people in Western Europe want is the US and Israel to respect internation law and act like western democracies.
