Does it also walk like a duck and quack like a duck?

^^^ the family (who are well respected locals) initially thought it was a log as it wasn't moving. Putting aside the fact it doesn't look anything like a duck, ducks don't actually stay submerged like this as they are not aquatic underwater breathers and would drown. the biologist who concluded its a duck might want to consider handing back their college degree.

My only conclusion is if its not alive, it might have been a plastic model of Ogopogo tied to a submerged log setup to prank or scare people passing by on boats. Problem there is it was off season and the lake was empty why bother?Second Ogopogo could be seen from a distance and as the family left for shore the bit jutting out disappeared. Infact the initial photo showed something above the surface but as they came closer it was submerged. If it was a mannikin or model (how expensive would it be to create) it probably should have also wobbled around from the wake created from the boat. But according to the family it not only remained still but seemed to be watching them.
