I am assuming this is postulated threat across the globe and not just America?

One unacknowledged example is left wing (perhaps unintentional) complicity in spreading the global phenomena that is anti-Indian hate on the internet

the anti-Indian social media craze is so widespread in every country it has translated into threats of physical violence against anyone of a south Asian appearance.

this is perhaps a sole example of where the left started a trend that the right has now hijacked.

Having watched the video, it appears to be nothing more than incredibly uninformed venting/emotion-based nonsense.

As far as who is the bigger threat? The right. Political violence on the right, for instance, is a bigger issue.

(Long video but sources are in the description.)

Had no clue that he was a literal incel up until that post.

The answer depends on when you ask and your opinion what is the greatest threat. Is it the amount of and lethality of violence or what poses the greatest danger to the republic?

In 2020 during the “great awokeining” I argued it was the left because despite the right being behind the most political violence and the most lethal violence because the left was gaining control of institutions and the narrative at lightning speed.

In 2025 there is no argument it is the right by every metric. The right controls all three branches of government allowing them to pass illiberal policies and muting checks and balances.

The big picture is that we have been in a cycle of action, stronger reaction, stronger reaction to the stronger reaction with zero some thinking predominant. This has left the center, supporters of checks and balances, civility etc politically impotent. This is because when we call out extremism on one side we bolster or validate extremists on the other side, the classic no win situation. We flunk everybody’s purity tests.

I am irked by the narrative that any mild social or cultural conservatism is comparable to Nazis or National Socialism, or is an inevitable potential pathway to it.

Both the Left and Right seem to have their good and bad points.

The Right likes to talk a big game about freedom and state's rights, but under far-right Trump, they attacked abortion, invaded blue states with military, and a lot of people on welfare, medicare or medicaid are living in fear. Hospitals are closing. He's attacking political opponents. He's attacking the media. He's attacking education and freedom of religion.

Billionaires are happy though.
