You know, lately, with all the negative news I hear, I have decided, in addition to viewing Seinfeld, Mystery Science Theater 3000 and Whose Line is it Anyway?, I have also watched the 1982-93 sitcom Cheers.

Simply put, the sitcom is centered on the misadventures of the owners and patrons of a quirky Boston bar.

I kinda like it, because of how funny it is, how I can relate to the characters, and how cozy the bar looks. :D

I forgot to post: What does everyone else think of this show?

I used to watch Cheers all the time when it first ran.
I'm pretty certain the mailman, Cliff Clavin, was an undiagnosed Aspie.

Cheers is okay. I thought it was funnier when I was younger though.

I never thought about that. I haven't watched the show in a year or two so I can't remember it perfectly but that does seem to make sense. As for the show itself, I love it. I've had spurts where I've been obsessed with it and spent almost all of my free time watching it. I moved onto Frasier from it though and I love Frasier way better so I sort of forgot about Cheers.

I watched reruns on Nick at Nite my freshman year of college...very good show. I agree about Cliff...if he was on the spectrum, he's one of the few fictional portrayals that isn't a math/science savant.

I have the box set of Cheers, love it.

Over the years I've noticed that Diane Chambers, as well as the aforementioned Cliff Clavin, have both been mentioned online as having Asperger's Syndrome.

It's a great show.

Did you know; that's one thing I've never watched
