ADD, no discipline, no natural strength.

When I 16, I could barely lift 50 pounds. So discouraging. My friends two years younger could lift 50 pounds more.

Am I the only one on here?

I was never physical either - I'm quite weak.

I liked lifting weights in PE but I was the weakest kid in my class. I always had a very sedentary lifestyle except when I was working. It's probably related to me having various disabilities & problems with fine motor-skills & such.

I find being in a gym, but didn't understand until I figured out that I'm autistic.
Now, my dislike for the gym seems understandable, even reasonable.
What do others do instead of going to the gym?
In summer I mow the lawn and do yardwork, that is good exercise as I'm usually tired what I'm fine, even a little sore the next day, sometimes.
Shoveling snow in the winter is about the same.
The problem is these are not regular activities, and I have trouble figuring out similar activities.

^The three jobs I had were unskilled menial labor things like washing dishes & doing custodial stuff. I worked lots of overtime when allowed & was always busy when I was at work. I still did not have a lot of strength though.

I always thought I had low physical intelligence but it's actually not so bad :) I think I am just lacking some social reward mechanisms.

Team sports, running on a treadmill or towards an arbitrary line, laps in a pool - can't do it.

Swimming in the sea, dancing, climbing natural formations - get a lot from it.

I do try to walk with my support workers when I'm able.

Gyms $$$$

Besides coronavirus

And gym rats

You have to change clothes before and after

Used to love the gym

Now I have not had a membership for over five years and I am not going to get one because $$$

My whole body has gone limp

Physically weaker and slower and clumsier and was never that great in the first place but whatever

42 not that old but old enough
