Best not to start the meds if possible.. do your research..! there are substances that are available at pharmacuetical quality out there that have dual uses , "that can help clean up your neural synapses" . That will tend to lift depression.
And there are used in tiny pinches maybe 3 times a aweek . Clean up your diet, go for healthy foods/ supplements . This productive and pro active practices can put you on a new mental path, and give you a clearer insight of the things you maybe facing . Doing something pro actively can change your focus. You might even practive some relaxation meditation exercises at. night when you go to bed . Daytime, try to stay away from vids of all types .Do yardwork.
If necessary for allergies ,take over the counter allergy meds , but maybe research them alittle before using .something physical to engage in, that will almost always automatically engage your brain .These are just the starter
things that I used to get through some tough times, when PTSD wanted to control my thoughts. Best of wishes hope you may find some use in what I posted here . IMHO
