I download the roms for free For example I can buy myself a Sega Mini, Super Nintendo Mini, or PSOne Mini off Ebay with each console having over 20 games built into the system itself for roughly the same price as one new Xbox Series video game not including DLC.
Even though they're old games getting more games on one purchase feels like a much better deal to me.
I prefer that for playing turn based RPGs like old-school Pokemon & Final Fantasy.
