No diagnosis currently for my son's disorder

I have an 8-year-old son who has been difficult to manage since birth. Without us ever hitting him or showing him violent videos, as he grew older, he proved aggressive and offensive. He has a ferocious anger whose origins are unknown, and it explodes when you least expect it, and he rebels against anyone, be it us, his teacher, his grandmother, or the mother of a classmate.
For two years, I've been taking him to a psychiatrist who diagnosed him with emotional dysregulation. But is this really possible? This year, he also took the Wechsler test with his pediatrician, and the diagnosis came back as FIL, which, however, the psychiatrist disagrees with, and neither does the psychologist who sees us parents. According to the psychologist, my son has high cognitive potential, a sort of gifted. That is, the exact opposite of the pediatrician's diagnosis. In any case, he doesn't seem gifted at all, since he has no desire to study and isn't a genius at school.
I need to know if anyone has had similar cases and can help us understand what we're dealing with.

I don't have any kids but your description of his behavior with rebelling against any authority makes me think of ODD(Oppositional Defiant Disorder). Perhaps researching that would lead to some parenting strategies but it's quite possible he has other reasons for his behavior that haven't been figured out yet. I hope you can find something that helps him because it sounds very challenging & stressful for all of you.

perhaps you can look into DMDD? Conduct disorder?

Have they started him on mood stabilizers? that tends to be the next step in treatment when it comes to unknown cases.

^I didn't think of Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder. That does sometimes occur with developmental & other disorders like ADHD & such. In addition to mood-stabilizers, antipyschotics are sometimes used as well as stimulants &/or antidepressants.
