Hi everyone. I'm a late diagnosed one I'm 25, live in the US and have trouble fitting in with neurotypical. I'd love to share and hear people stories and issues living in a neurotypical world. Thank you!

Welcome to WP! I hope you find it to be a nice place to frequent.

"have trouble fitting in with neurotypical"...I sort of fit in. I think they think I'm different but almost tolerably so.

"late diagnosed"...I was diagnosed days before my 65^th birthday and had been happily retired for a while. I see three main benefits of the diagnosis:
1. Now I know what is wrong with everyone else—and that it's not my imagination!
2. Wrong Planet!
3. When my bride bumps up against one of my Autism traits I get to say: I have a Doctor's note for that!

One benefit I wish I had gotten was better communication with my many medical providers (I am 71). However, they generally do not seem to think they need to do anything differently with me just because I am on the Autism Spectrum. Communication is non-optimum. And for anything complicated I try to have my bride there to help me communicate (she is ADHD, not Autistic).
