Do you find some emojis passive aggressive/triggering?

For me it's the crying, skull, and laughing emojis that get to me. Depending on the context.

I am a cusp of Gen-Z and I know my generation use the first two to imply something like "are you serious bro?" Often times the skull emoji is used as an replacement for the laughing one but honestly I don't get it.

Unfortunately, I can remember someone belittling me while responding with the crying emoji in the end so that face definitely brings up bad memories. Same with the laughing emoji when one guy was laughing at me for being upset about an abliest comment.

Yes, this ugly little thing is
like...visual misophonia--------》 :D When I see it in people's posts I just want to punch the screen. I don't know, it just has a tone of naivity to it. The smiling emoji next to it is much better.

Yes! The most triggering ones are the heart-eyes emoji and the standard "crying-laughing" emoji. They actually scare me and they make my chest feel really tight; I don't like them at all.

The skull sometimes gets used like oh god, you're killing me.

But no, I don't find any emojis triggering. I sometimes find them passive aggressive, but I assume that's intended by the user.

People are getting more and more sent into a blind rage by little things every day. Must be because the world is coming to an end. Humans are more violent and aggressive than they've been in the past 50 years.

I'm not sure humans are more violent and aggressive than they've been in the past 50 years. Violent crime is down, serial killers have become far more rare.

Absolutely, people are stressed, there's a lot of stressors in the world being imposed on regular people but it's nothing we can't overcome. If we all just give up the monsters win.

I won't say I get angered by emojis. Admittedly, I am a thin skinned person so some vague social cues do overstimulate me if that makes sense. It might also have something to do with my trauma and being heavily bullied as a kid.

Interesting. I have never met anyone who doesn't like the heart eyes emoji. Not to say I am a fan of it. I guess I am more neutral towards it.
