'Historians have a word for Germans who joined the Nazi party, not because they hated Jews, but out of a hope for restored patriotism, or a sense of economic anxiety, or a hope to preserve their religious values, or dislike of their opponents, or raw political opportunism, or convenience, or ignorance, or greed.

That word is "Nazi." Nobody cares about their motives anymore.'

Just a reminder: under international law, an occupying power has no right of self-defense, and those who are occupied have the right and duty to liberate themselves by any means possible.

Newsom will be to Trump what Clinton was to Reagan.

I like the fact that Gavin Newsom is willing to fight dirty against Trump, but if you look at his actual policy positions, they're hardly progressive. I think after Trump, we're going to see a huge pendulum swing to the left (we're already seeing this with progressive Democrats sweeping the special elections), and I don't think Newsom is the right person to preside over this shift. We need someone who will actively drive the progressive agenda rather than just restore the previous status quo.

I agree.

If Newsom ends up as the next Democratic leader, that will see the party shift to the right in a similar manner as it did under Clinton, essentially normalizing the Trump era.

If you look at who Newsom has on his podcast it's mostly people from the far-right all the way to liberals, but not leftists. He can avoid both agreeing with them and having to try to argue against them if he just ignores them after all.

Joe Rogan is little more than a propagandist for the Epstein class.
