Abandoning Marriage and Parenting goals PERMANENTLY!! !

After losing David who was the ONLY man I ever truly loved, I have made the hard choice to stop pursuing the goals of getting married and having kids!! !

I don't want to restart the dating cycle all over again just to try and reach this elusive goal!

What do you guys think?

If you never get married, you never have to go through divorce ^_^

...breaking up with kids involved is still pretty messy, though...

Well, marriage IS the single most leading cause of ALL divorces, right?  Besides, marriages end in only one of two ways: Divorce or Death.  None of this bodes well for the "Happy Ever After" myth.

Could you dedicate like a small part of your time looking for marriage instead of everything?

And for the time being, I would tread cautiously with getting married OP, for the near future at least

I mean...even famous singers like Taylor Swift got to the goal before I did!! !

And NOBODY thought she would ever get married!

The issue is that David was the only man for me and now that he is gone I don't really want to start over with dating

well to be fair Taylor Swift's marriage prolly wont last.

And I don't even know why I am so upset over this considering my belief of marriage being voluntary imprisonment but after seeing the creativity of Swift's wedding at MSG I realize that I want to have the wedding experience for myself!! !! !!

I don't know what to do or how to move forward...


EDIT: This is ALL David's fault for suddenly dying 3 months before the commencement of our wedding/marriage and if he survived that dreadful facility none of this would be happening & I would be married right now!! !

I’m so sorry for what you are going through, I wouldn’t blame David for dying and unfortunately death is inevitable. If anything, he would have been so grateful you were always by his side and he knew towards the end you loved him.

Allow yourself to grieve and cry this out and focus on your healing first before considering dating anyone, please do not rush these things or seek for it right at this time, take your time.

Although...I believe achieving my OTHER creative goals (game development, classic remix project, launch of online radio station, animation, voice acting etc) might provide me with the same level of satisfaction & accomplishment as getting married/becoming a mom!! !

Or I could use celebrities like Taylor Swift as motivation and leverage to continue towards marriage, even without David?!?

The way I see it he is dead and his opinion no longer matters plus I have made peace knowing that he is in heaven now
