My improvement on social skills and my thought that I only have diagnostic criteria B for Autism Spectrum Disorder

I remember when I was 16 years old, I started to understand social cues, including complex social cues, and thought that I only now have diagnostic criteria B for Autism Spectrum Disorder.

I was wrong, I have moderate problems with social-emotional reciprocity, It took some more time for me to realize that I still meet some diagnostic criteria A for Autism Spectrum Disorder, but therapy helped me immensely.

I wonder if you guys have the same experience as me.

I do not pay much attention to those who declare various labels and criteria. I find it more useful to work on those skills that help me manage better. For example, if I am negligent in detecting social cues because I am too focused, I can work to increase the frequency I intentionally consider those around me and my environment.
