Is anyone else out there completely without friends or a life at all?

Lost my last friend a year ago. She just stopped taking my calls.

I've spent so much time talking to AI in the last few years that you could argue my brain is now part AI, not from some microchip but from information input and influence.

Just made an account here this night. But from what I've seen this place gives me the vibe of a back room in a dying mall. I want this site to work out for me, but I don't know if it will. This is my first time trying social media in quite some time.

Same here with the friends part, at least. Not that I hate it that much. I have oftentimes felt uncomfortable in social situations and look forward to being alone.

I'm clumsy when it comes to socializing.

I have two or three online friends.

Wrong Planet was sort of quiet before the FEB–JUN outage. During that outage I suspect a lot of the remaining users gave up on it due to the outage. ...and a few of us persisted because we were fond of it.

Before and after the outage my philosophy was primarily to use it to entertain myself (I like posting my observations on movies) and, when some other user seemed to be looking for information on any topic where I had information to share that information.

I think information sharing is potentially the most useful thing WP can do. Some people are stunned and/or frightened when they learn they might be (or are) Autistic. I figure getting insights and experience lessons on WP from more experienced Autistics might help those people. Many of them were just looking for some quick information and we might be able to provide it. After their initial questions are answered they might be reassured that having Autism is not the End-of-the-World and then continue on with their lives, leaving WP behind. OK...WP helped them even if they never come back.

Oh, yeah, a few of us are keeping alive discussions on movies and TV shows. (I'm sure there are other continuing chats on topics of interest to some other users...its just that movies and TV shows are the ones that interest me.)

I suffer a great deal of loneliness. That is why my biggest goal in life is to get into a romantic relationship so I can hopefully find the right person to share my life with :)

I am 39, male, single from West Virginia :)

I would love to meet the right person.

Me too, just two neurotypical online friends (one man and one woman) from the online contests message board but recently we practically lost any contact. When I was in my twenties, I had several friends (male only) from WP but we also lost the contact with each other over the course of years. And, oh, I would forget, I have another male buddy from the Polish aspie board :)

When I was in high school, I had one female friend - a close one - and three other friends back in college as well :)

I have never had a close friend on my life, but it is problematic for me only in intimate/romantic side because I feel "hunger of the woman". I find almost all young women attractive. I feel no interest in "normal" life, I am physically weak, I have no job. Of course I have never been in a romantic relationship, even in long-distance one. I may be very unattractive for women. Very good that I have disability pension. I like to talk about my interests very much. "Celibacy" is often really uncomfortable for me, but lack of non-intimate, non-marital relationship is quite neutral. I have problems with mere day-to-day functioning, especially working and earning money.
