Hi , I am new and just wanted to say hello and thanks for having me here.

I'm Rab from Scotland. I am undiagnosed aspergers and the reason i came here is to learn about autism/aspergers because my son displays the exact same behaviours and characteristics as me. He was diagnosed with aspergers through his speech.

I am a bit wary to attend the doctors regarding myself. I know I was born with a different mindset from a lot of other people and given my history of struggling with feelings and emotions of others and also my passion which is coding , networks , radio comms and complex systems. I feel i fit the bill and my son may have inherited his condition from me.

Again I thank you and am grateful for having outlets such as these to educate those who don't really understand the processes.

Best Regards

Rab

Welcome!

It is very common for females to be undiagnosed as it presents differently and doctors have a male bias and don't take females seriously.

Good luck!

Hi there thank you for replying i had not set the profile 'gender' correctly I am male. I totally agree with you though about the bias , there seems to be a lot of that within these institutions.

Thanks for replying .
